We need squads to announce their return fast. We need this to know if/how many draft squads we need to add for a league of 12-14 squads.
Don't worry, the draft squads' roster sizes can be varied to house the majority of players.

Now for the other league news.
!norating wins AML 2-0 over StarFire Elite. Dethknel MVP'd the first one on stats, 5-1 2AS 5FR. The second game was only 1 kill better for SFE, finishing 12-6. It was 6-6 at 29:55. Then MfA died out, and !norating didn't give SFE any freebies.
In Pro we had Assassins defeat The Dark 12-3 to move onto the Finals while Nguyens beat Sterling 7-4.
ossi was 5-0, 5FR in Assassins' game. But what shocks the world of spaceships more is three showing up after vowing not to ever show up. Who would've guessed <img src='http://www.subspace.co/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':clapping:' />
Legacy exploded twice in 2:14, after subbing in with two lives. Although the game was 5-1 for Ass when he started exploding faster than ZDeathX goes through three ships of rockets.
Nguyens vs. Sterling was 1-1 until 32:04. Then it was 4-1 by 35:12. At 38:27 Porcupine had died twice in a spider and once in a weasel, making it 5-2 Nguyens who were now up 4v3. Knewwin and TVB picked up 7 and 6 FR.
Schedule for Pro Finals:
Nguyens will play Assassins on July 3rd at 4pm.
Then the following weekend on July 10th at 3pm and 4pm, if necessary.
Offseason usually kills activity in SS, and we can't really afford to lose activity now with Season 30 changing a few (or more) things.
We'll be looking to get S30 going somewhere at the end of July - mid August, depending on how we solve a few kinks in the plan. IE, the draft event.

Returning squads, please post here, or ?message me (?message Caerbannog+:hello glorious bunny leader, we will return <3<3) I can figure out what squad you're doing it for, as long as you use your rostered captain name to send it.
Chaos / other zones' players who are not in a squad, but would like to be involved in 4v4 post here. If no squad picks you up before the draft you will be in the player pool. If there's enough of you, I will force first round of draft to be picking up the new people. (However, letting you ever play will probably not be enforced).

What we know for sure:
Season 30 will be fixed schedule.
- This has plenty or pros and cons.
Playoff split (yes, there will be one) will still work W/L -> Tied group HtH W/L -> Tied and above HtH W/L -> Tied K/D -> Tied and above K/D. This way the teams that performed best within the tied group should make it. Of course moving Tied and above HtH above plain tied HtH kinda makes sense too.
What is likely:
Depending on how many "real" squads we have, we might be / will be adding in DRAFT teams. They would/will be in it to win it. The rules regarding roster size etc. would be flexible with them. Late player entries would only be admitted to "real" squads, or to draft squads. If/when draft squads, the captains of which we'd decide at a later date, but soonish, so they can draft once we have the available players to draft from and a rough idea of how many draft squads we need for an even number of teams
Surrey will become Surrey+

Devil's Dad finished 4-1 and 6 FR vs. Rebels. vt died twice in 7:18, wasting all of his four repels.

Pro Finals will eventually work one game 4pm (which I believe most people prefer) - one game minimum (3pm), optional 2nd game - 3rd game if needed. (4pm).
Season 30 will be a fixed schedule.
Now... the twist idea I've been toying with lately is actually adding in like 4-6 slots for squads that we'd form by having "volunteer" people draft players. These players would be allowed to double squad, under aliases that are known. IE. The draft would use the players' current rostered names, then they'd announce which name they want to be added on.
This would either work, fail horribly, look like it might work and then produce no shows, kind of work producing games that people don't try much in. We could give some A1 glory to the highest ranked draft squad at the end.
Let me know what your thoughts on something like that would be.

So my ping is currently about double what it usually is (120-140) at 260-280, today some additional, probably over the limit, c2s ploss was added.
This crap started on Thursday and is somewhere between the east coast and the server since I can http://pingtest.net/ to NY or DC at 130 ms.
Anyone else got this and if so, did you trace it down to a specific router? I need to somehow haxor my NAT away before I can pass a trace all the way to the server.

I applaud the effort that has been put into the hallutron.
I have no problem with it at all.
unfortunately though it takes a fair chunk of real-estate from the castle and makes it much less playable as a result. for this reason I now call for a re-design of the castle and placement of it and the hallutron.
I would like to have the hallutron exactly as it is but a little lower in relation to the rest of the map.
and i would like the castle to be disconnected from the hallutron and a least as big as the 'classic' castle design, but moved up a little. How does that sound?

I'm returning to this board to say bad news!
I've just knew that DieAll one of the DAMN_Yankees leaders and one of the ANCIENT subspace players died on April 14th of 2011.

when i spawn i type ?status.
as i've mentioned before, if something isn't 100% and i don't have especially nice toys, i ship change. i don't usually bother greening to try to hit a rotation or speed etc.
this poll is here to find out if others do the same. and if there's plenty of us doing this, may i suggest a change in config so that we just start with a full ship instead?
i dont mind about energy, i'll keep a ship and green if its all 100% but >1400 NRG.
again as i've mentioned before
i'll sometimes shipchange when i run out of toys because its easier than greening in low pops with few greens

with the safes how they are it's a pain to go there.
so i ask that we make them or at least 1 or 2 of them easier to fly to.
case for making the safes easier to get into:
1) ok the biggest reason is the many AFK moments we have. what I do is i just point my shark in the direction of empty space and float over there with the stealth on and hope no one kills me. if the safes were easier/quicker to get to, i would just fly there.
most of us do this. i killed hallu the other day when he was doing this. (i only killed him because he'd left his aw on and it was quicker than flying out of the antiwarp area - which is too large anyway, but thats another bitch).
so if its easier for the guy who can change things himself to float and die rather than be bothered to fly safe, somethings wrong. am i wrong?
2) the new bonuses setup would be more user friendly
the case against:
this seems to be that players don't want Gad to run to safe. that seems to be the main reason. i say let him.
and it seems some players don't want the safes to really be part of the game.. they want them removed from the strategy. i myself welcome using safes as a strategy. ive been involved with plenty of scraps when players are ducking in and out of safes. it's fun. well it was fun.. the only time that happens now is in the castle. and the castle doesnt get used much in it's current form - (but that's another bitch)
opinions please?
